There are limited spots in this training, we kindly ask that you limit registration to 1-2 people per organization.
This interactive four-hour training will present a healing centered approach to youth development. It will focus on how to recognize primary and secondary trauma, not only in young people but in the youth workers who support them. Participants will learn about Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHSA) six guiding principles of a trauma informed approach in order to embed the corresponding healing-centered practices in their programs. This training will build skills by including activities and role plays where participants will be able to reflect on and share strategies for supporting healing and building resiliency in young people.
