Young people are more connected than ever, thanks to the internet, social media, and a device at everyone’s fingertips. As youth workers, we can support young people to gain critical thinking skills to challenge some of the online messages they are bombarded with. Come to this Lunch and Learn to engage with other youth workers in discussions that touch on the effects (positive and negative) of hyper-connectedness for the young people in your program. As well as how programs can leverage the online presence of their young people to support genuine connection and mental wellness.
