Conflict Resolution for Youth Programs

As any youth worker knows, conflict is bound to arise in a youth program. However, handling conflict appropriately can help build a stronger group dynamic amongst your young people. This 2-day online training focuses on exploring conflict resolution to help manage group dynamics when working with youth in your programs. The trainers will define conflict, how it might show up in your program, and ways to address it that will help support everyone involved. Through large and small group discussion and hands-on activities, participants will get to explore different conflict approaches (including “win-win” solutions and “positions and interests”) and learn steps to help resolve conflict and create a healthier group connection.
