Through principles and best practices\, participants will leave with an understanding of how to adopt Restorative Justice as both a preventative and responsive practice in their organization.  This training will be held online due to the current global pandemic\, however it is still meant to be a Restorative Justice 101.  This training will not directly address using RJ practices in a virtual world. \nTrainer Bio: Valleria Miranda-Ferrick is a Restorative Justice practitioner\, educator and trainer. She started her journey into this work in 2012 when she first learned about Peacemaking Circles and its healing power. Since 2012\, Valleria has worked with over 10 Boston Public Schools as a partner in bringing Circles as a transformative and healing practice to youth and staff in the school system. Valleria has also conducted trainings with dozens of institutions and school districts across the United States to introduce Restorative Justice as a framework and practice to end the school to prison pipeline and address racial disparities in school discipline. Valleria currently works for two Boston Public Schools in transforming the institutions to be a more inclusive and equitable environment for all community members. Valleria is also the Founder and Executive Director of Unity Circles\, a nonprofit that trains youth to be change agents in their communities. In her personal and professional work\, Valleria is committed to supporting community members and institutions in creating equitable and supportive spaces for youth to grow and thrive. \nFor a PDF version of the flyer\, please click here\nREGISTRATION IS CURRENTLY FULL.  PLEASE EMAIL BEST@HRIA.ORG TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITING LIST.
