DESCRIPTION:May 18th\, 2023 \n9:30 AM – 2:00 PM \nTraining Location:  \nHealth Resources in Action  \n2 Boylston Street\, 4th Floor\, Boston\, MA 02116 \nTraining Fee: $150 per person \n*We do not offer scholarships for our trainings\, but do offer discounts on a case-by-case basis.  If this fee presents a challenge\, please email us at best@hria.org. \nPlease note: This training will be held in person\, and we are following local\, state\, and federal health guidelines in relation to COVID-19.  You can review our COVID-19 Safety Policy here.\nThere are limited spots in this training\, we kindly ask that you limit registration to 1-2 people per organization. \nThis interactive four-hour training will present a healing centered approach to youth development. It will focus on how to recognize primary and secondary trauma\, not only in young people but in the youth workers who support them. Participants will learn about Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHSA) six guiding principles of a trauma informed approach in order to embed the corresponding healing-centered practices in their programs.
